Deck the Hall Christmas Market

I'm looking forward to working at the upcoming "Deck The Hall" Christmas Market on Nov. 28th & Nov. 29th, 2015 located at the Cowichan Exhibition Grounds in Duncan, BC.  Find me at the Children's Craft Corner where I will be making fuse bead art.  There will also be colouring pages, a concession and beautiful handcrafted crafts!  See you at the show!

Deck The Hall Christmas Market 2014

The Deck the Hall Christmas Market was held this year at the Cowichan Exhibition Grounds.  There were 70+ vendors, live craft demonstrations, christmas music, & a cafeteria.  It was a pleasure helping host the event and also help out in the children's craft section.
I also displayed my artwork and had button crafting demonstrations throughout the two day event.

In the children's craft section I had brought fuse beads to let the children create there own crafts to take home for free.  They were very creative!

Crafts Fair Patrons were welcome to choose a button design and I would make it on the spot for them! This was a great way to have some seasonal fun and interact with art!

This year I also had the opportunity to paint the windows! I choose to represent a winter wonderland.

There are all kinds of things happening in the valley.  One event I'll be attending will be the Duncan Comic Book Expo!  I will have my button machine set up and will be selling my buttons along with my original artwork!  For more information please visit the Duncan Comic Book Expo Site! Hope to see you there!

December Memories Series 1:  Here is my first series of Christmas cards!  I made them in hopes of creating more locally winter themed cards in the future.  I want to learn more about the local seasonal fauna and I believe this will inspire a new new series for spring! Stay tuned and Happy New Year!

November 16 Craft Fair Recap

This year I featured my artwork at the annual Duncan Volunteer Firefighter Department's Craft Fair.  All proceeds from the table fee, Santa photos, and food sales benefited the Muscular Dystrophy Canada.  There were over sixty vendors featuring the most beautiful handmade items I've ever seen!  Thank you to all the volunteers and firefighter department!  It was a lovely event!

Seasons Greetings to all!  To celebrate our day of snow outside I've decided to post snapshots of my new paintings of my winter collection.  The first painting is to commemorate the reintroduction of bluebirds by the Gary Oak Ecosystems Recovery Team to the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island.  You can learn more through their website:  Bring Back the Bluebirds
